What the Warranty Forever powertrain coverage pays for, how long it lasts, and the maintenance rules that keep it in force.
Most people hear the name Warranty Forever and stop listening after the word forever. That's understandable, but the details are what decide whether a repair gets paid. The coverage is real and it lasts a long time. It also comes with a few rules that you agree to when you sign.
It comes up at the sales desk and in the service drive all the time, so this post lays it out in plain terms. It covers what the agreement pays for, what it leaves out, how maintenance records fit in, and where covered repairs get done.
Quick answer: Warranty Forever is powertrain coverage on qualifying new and pre owned vehicles from Dave Sinclair Lincoln St. Peters. It covers the engine, transmission and drive axle parts listed in the agreement for as long as you own the vehicle, with no deductible and 100% parts and labor on covered repairs. You keep it in force by doing the customary maintenance at a licensed facility and keeping the records.

What Does Warranty Forever Cover?
Warranty Forever is powertrain coverage. That means the parts that make the vehicle go: the engine, the transmission and the drive axle components. The agreement lists the specific parts, and that list is the final word. If a part isn't on it, plan on it not being covered.
On a covered repair there's no deductible, and parts and labor are covered at 100%. So if a covered internal engine part fails at 140,000 miles, you aren't splitting the bill or paying a set amount per visit. The repair is handled under the agreement.
It isn't bumper to bumper coverage. Things like the infotainment screen, power liftgate, air conditioning, suspension and brakes fall outside a powertrain agreement. Your Lincoln factory warranty and any service contract you buy are separate from Warranty Forever, and the team can walk you through how they stack on a specific vehicle.

How Long Does Warranty Forever Last?
For as long as you own the vehicle. There's no end date tied to a calendar or the odometer, which is the part that gets people's attention, and it should.
Two terms shape that promise. The first is the limit of liability. A covered repair is capped at the NADA average retail value of the vehicle at the time of the claim. On a newer Lincoln that cap won't come into play for a normal repair. On a vehicle that's very old and worth very little, it can matter, because the agreement won't pay more than the vehicle's average retail value.
The second is ownership. Warranty Forever isn't transferable. When you sell the vehicle or trade it in, the coverage ends with you and doesn't pass to the next owner. Keep that in mind if you're comparing a private sale against a trade.
What Maintenance Does Warranty Forever Require?
This is the section to read twice. The agreement spells out customary maintenance, and doing it on time is what keeps the coverage in force.
Follow the schedule in your agreement
The agreement lists the customary maintenance and the intervals. Your Lincoln's oil life monitor is useful, but the agreement is what you're held to.
Use a licensed facility
Maintenance has to be done at a licensed repair facility. Changing your own oil in the garage doesn't count, even with good oil and a receipt for the filter.
Call first if you go somewhere else
Maintenance done anywhere other than the selling dealer has to be pre authorized by phone before the work is done.
Keep every record
Hold on to the repair orders. If a claim comes up, the records are how you show the maintenance was done.
Doing your maintenance with us keeps the paperwork simple, because the records live in our system. Our Warranty Forever page has the program basics, and your agreement has the exact schedule for your vehicle.

What Doesn't Warranty Forever Cover?
Being clear about this up front saves an awkward conversation later. These are the gaps owners run into most:
Towing
Warranty Forever doesn't pay for a tow. If your Lincoln quits on I-70 near Wright City, the tow is a separate matter from the repair.
Rental cars
Rental coverage isn't part of the agreement, so a covered repair doesn't automatically come with a rental.
Parts not listed
Only the powertrain parts named in the agreement are covered. Wear items and non powertrain systems aren't.
Skipped or undocumented maintenance
A do it yourself oil change, a missed interval or a lost record can put a claim at risk.
A new owner
Coverage doesn't transfer when the vehicle is sold or traded.
None of that takes away from what the program does. It just means the coverage is for the powertrain, for you, as long as the maintenance gets done.
It just means the coverage is for the powertrain, for you, as long as the maintenance gets done.
Where Do Covered Repairs Get Done?
If you're within 150 miles of the selling dealer, covered repairs are done at the selling dealer. For a vehicle bought here, that's our shop at 4760 North Service Road, right along I-70. From O'Fallon, Cottleville or Lake St. Louis that's a short drive, and from Washington or Warrenton it's still well inside the radius.
Farther trips are where people get nervous. Lake of the Ozarks sits farther out than most St. Charles County drivers guess, and the agreement explains how a repair away from home is handled. Read that part before a long road trip, and call us before any work starts if something goes wrong out of town.
St. Peters driver tip
If you work in St. Charles and like to grab an oil change near the office off Highway 94, call to get it pre authorized before the work starts and keep that repair order. A folder in the glove box or photos of every receipt on your phone takes two minutes and can save a claim later.

Read About Warranty ForeverQuestions Owners Ask About Eligibility
Which vehicles qualify for Warranty Forever?
It applies to qualifying new and pre owned vehicles sold by Dave Sinclair Lincoln St. Peters. Ask your salesperson whether the specific vehicle you're looking at qualifies, and ask to see the agreement before you sign.
Does Warranty Forever cost extra?
Ask the team how it's handled on the vehicle you're buying. The agreement itself has no deductible on covered repairs, so there's no per visit charge when a covered powertrain part is fixed.
Is Warranty Forever the same as the Lincoln factory warranty?
No. The Lincoln factory warranty is separate. Warranty Forever is the store's powertrain program, and it keeps going for as long as you own a qualifying vehicle.
Questions Owners Ask About Maintenance Records
Can I change my own oil and keep Warranty Forever?
No. Customary maintenance has to be done at a licensed facility, so a do it yourself oil change won't count toward the agreement.
What happens if I get maintenance done somewhere else?
Call before the work is done. Maintenance done anywhere other than the selling dealer has to be pre authorized by phone, and you should keep the repair order.
How long should I keep service receipts?
For as long as you own the vehicle. Records are how you show the maintenance was done, so keep paper copies, photos or both. Visits done with us are kept in our system too.
Questions Owners Ask About Claims and Repairs
Is there a deductible on a covered repair?
No. There's no deductible, and parts and labor are covered at 100% on covered repairs.
Is there a limit on what a repair can cost?
Yes. The limit of liability is the NADA average retail value of the vehicle at the time of the claim.
Will Warranty Forever pay for a tow or a rental?
No. Towing and rental cars aren't covered by the Warranty Forever agreement. Ask what other coverage on your vehicle might help with those.
Questions Owners Ask About Selling or Trading
Does Warranty Forever transfer to the next owner?
No. It isn't transferable, so the coverage ends when you sell or trade the vehicle.
Can I use Warranty Forever as a selling point in a private sale?
You shouldn't, because the buyer won't get it. Be clear with any buyer that the coverage stayed with you.
If I trade in and buy another qualifying vehicle, do I get new coverage?
Ask about the vehicle you're buying. If it qualifies, it comes with its own agreement, separate from the one on your trade.
