Dealer Comments
The 2022 Ford Bronco Sport Big Bend is a compact SUV designed for drivers who want a blend of utility, efficiency, and technology. Powered by a 1.5L EcoBoost engine paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission and 4WD, it offers versatility in a stylish Gray Metallic exterior with an Ebony interior. With an EPA-estimated 25 city and 28 highway MPG, the Bronco Sport Big Bend delivers practical fuel efficiency for daily life and weekend adventures alike.
This SUV is ideal for those researching a capable crossover that balances everyday comfort with the flexibility to handle changing weather or light off-road conditions. Its 4WD system and four-wheel independent suspension contribute to confident traction, making it especially suited for commuters and families in regions with seasonal weather shifts, such as St. Louis. The spacious interior, supportive cloth seats, and split folding rear seat enhance daily usability and cargo flexibility for everything from errands to weekend trips.
On the road, the Bronco Sport Big Bend's 1.5L EcoBoost engine offers responsive acceleration, while the 8-speed automatic transmission delivers smooth gear changes for both city and highway driving. Its speed-sensing steering and four-wheel disc brakes contribute to composed handling and strong stopping power. The SUV's suspension setup provides a composed ride over uneven surfaces, translating to stable, predictable performance during commutes or longer highway journeys.
Safety is addressed through advanced features such as ABS brakes, electronic stability control, traction control, and a suite of airbags including dual front impact, dual front side impact, knee, overhead, and occupant sensing airbags. The SYNC 3 911 Assist emergency communication system offers peace of mind by connecting drivers with emergency services if needed. Automatic high-beam headlights, brake assist, and a rear window defroster further enhance visibility and control in changing conditions.
The Bronco Sport Big Bend comes equipped with features designed for daily convenience, including the Convenience Package, remote keyless entry, power windows and mirrors, heated door mirrors, automatic temperature control, and a unique Cargo Management System. Entertainment and connectivity are supported by SYNC 3 with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, SiriusXM radio, and a 6-speaker sound system. Roof rails and a rear seat center armrest add everyday practicality.
In comparison to segment rivals like the Jeep Compass and Subaru Crosstrek, the Bronco Sport Big Bend stands out with its turbocharged EcoBoost engine, standard 4WD, and a well-integrated technology suite. While competitors offer similar size and versatility, this SUV's active safety features and customizable cargo solutions make it particularly appealing for buyers who value confidence and adaptability in a compact SUV.
